    Duties

    As a Microbiologist you will:
  • Perform microbiological science work in various scientific and public health areas associated with numerous infectious agents
  • Acquire and organize materials and information to carry out study procedures for assigned projects, upgrading current capabilities where appropriate
  • Perform experiments in accordance with approved methods and procedures
  • Periodically evaluate progress of the experiment to determine whether data generated are accurate and valid
  • Identify methods and procedures to collect data, and conducts experiments and studies, making adjustments in methods and procedures
  • Carry out a variety of laboratory procedures performing laboratory procedures involving microorganisms such as molecular and serological bench level testing, developing and executing validation and verification plans for new assays, solving problems related to virus testing needs
