Nurse Extern Program 2024Program dates:
June 6 – August 3, 2024
Extern Orientation:
June - 7
1st Unit Rotation – June 9 – July 6
2nd Unit Rotation – July 7 – August 3
9- week program
8- week preceptor clinical experience (2, 4- week rotations)
4- day hospital orientation
1:1 experienced RN preceptor.
hours per week (Day, evenings and nights - including weekends and holidays (will follow preceptor schedule)
Paid clinical experience
PA Child Abuse & FBI fingerprint clearances required
At completion of program, students may have the ability to continue employment in a Psychiatric Technician OR Extended Nurse Extern capacity by working a minimum of 16 hours per month% % %%mednurse%%
