• Enforce U.S. customs and immigration laws along the northern border with Canada or southern border with Mexico;
• Detect and prevent contraband from entering or exiting the country;

You must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with citizens, colleagues, internal affairs division investigators if need be; maintain surveillance over long periods of time often utilizing infrared scopes at night to detect smugglers crossing international boundaries illegally; patrol remote areas using varied government vehicles including SUVs ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles boats aircraft on occasions when land is not feasible perform farm checks building searches traffic stops city patrols transportation inspections etc.
