Job Responsibilities:
Primary Ranked
Process monthly invoices
Set up and maintain projects in accounting system according to contract terms
Maintain project-related records, including contracts and change orders for the accounting files
Review project contracts and additional service requests to understand the financial requirements for each project
Secondary
Administer invoice submission to clients as directed by project managers
Meet frequently with project managers to review status of projects for invoicing, unbilled and accounts receivable
Works independently to research and resolve issues
May provide accounting support to other staff as needed
May be asked to train, educate or guide non-financial staff on accounting procedures
Report on ad hoc project related requests from project managers
Respond to requests for more detail from clients
Close out project accounts upon project completion

Job Qualifications:
2-3 year minimum years of billing experience including project accounting
Experience with an engineering or professional services industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience providing strong client relations to both internal and external stakeholders.
BS in Accounting or a related field is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft products and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
Preferred Proficiency in financial or accounting software like ( Vision or Vantage Point )
TxDOT or Public Sector Client experience a plus
