    Description

    We are currently seeking qualified candidates for consideration to fill an open Project Manager position in our Program Management Services Division. This position will be located at our Clients Rochester, NY office.

    The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.

    The Project Manager (PM) shall assist Avangrid managers and technical staff with breakdown of program work scope into finite pieces assigned to responsible person(s) or organizations (third party contractors) for review of all planned program work elements: technical scope, schedules, and budgets.

    Planned program work may be incorporated into a performance measurement baseline (PMB) plan against which accomplishments are measured, and PM will assist Avangrid with controlling changes to the plan (baseline) during CY/FY.

    Salary Range: $65,000 - $118,000

    The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

    Responsibilities

    • At least on a monthly basis, the PM shall assist with compiling contractors work performed and associated contractor invoicing.
    • Review the physical products, milestones, technical performance goals, or other indicators used to measure progress in achieving program objectives.
    • Comparison of the amount of planned budget and the amount of budget earned for work accomplished. This comparison provides the schedule variance.
    • Comparison of the amount of the budget earned and the actual (applied where appropriate) direct costs for the same work. This comparison provides the cost variance. PM will assist by reviewing contractor invoicing for correlation to work performed, for final approval.
    • The PM may be requested to produce a variety of regular and ad-hoc reports in support of program plans and control initiatives.
    • Working closely with all functional departments, the PM will help to ensure that policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to (including quality, safety, environmental compliance).
    • PM will be responsible for developing, implementing, feeding, reconciling and maintaining valuable project control databases and reports for program work elements (projects and work orders).
    • PM ensures the reconciliation of program controls data with financial data and work performed, coordinating with managers.
    • PM will assist to verify the accuracy of all cost information including confirmation that costs are properly coded and allocated to the project budget, and work breakdown.
      • Producing required accounting and project cost reports.
      • Producing reports on deviations, under-runs and over-runs. Preparing forecasts and cost trend reports.
      • Reviewing and evaluating trends and their impact on project costs.
      • Monitoring project costs and commitment to budget and forecast. Maintaining change control and the change order register.
      • Document all Basis of Estimates and Estimate Revisions.
    • PM will utilizes applicable Document Control procedures to archive current and historical estimates and supporting data utilized in documenting work performed and all financial data.

    Requirements

    • Successful candidate will have currently reside or will be able to relocate to the Rochester area.
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the Telecommunications sector
    • Experience managing telecommunications construction projects
