Our client is currently seeking a REGIONAL SAFETY MANAGER in the Atlanta, GA area.As a Regional Safety Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy work environment, as well as to protect the environment and meet regulatory requirements.
Your duties may include:
Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures: You will need to develop policies and procedures to ensure that all manufacturing processes and products meet safety regulations and guidelines.
Conducting safety and health training:
You will need to develop and conduct safety and health training programs to ensure that all employees are aware of the potential risks associated with their jobs and how to avoid them.
This training may include topics such as personal protective equipment, hazardous material handling, and emergency response procedures.Environmental compliance:
You will need to develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations.
This may include managing waste disposal, air and water quality monitoring, and sustainability initiatives.Incident investigation and reporting:
In the event of a safety or environmental incident, you would need to investigate the incident, identify the root cause, and implement corrective actionsOpen to up to 75% travel to 8 manufacturing facilities on the East Coast including Eastern Canada or 2 weeks total per month
Requirements:
BS/BA from an accredited college or University in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or a relatead fieldStrong experence within manufacturing, distribution, logisitcs, and/or consumer product safetyCSP or similar professional designation a plusStrong servant leader approach that aligns with our amazing cultureStrong expeince with OSHA regulations
