    Job Description:
    Freedom Space is seeking applicants to provide engineering and analytical support for Commercial SATCOM Centralized Operational Management (CSCOM).

    Support includes planning, definition, implementation, and operational management of global communications systems, and includes both Wideband MILSATCOM and COMSATCOM support.

    Provide technical analysis to improve Wideband MILSATCOM and COMSATCOM operations, planning and management.
    Provide support for planning and management requirements for users for both legacy and future systems.
    Enter information into SATCOM databases and planning tools.
    Provide technical support for the development of new operational management and planning tools.
    Support trend analysis and operational deficiency assessments pertaining to Wideband MILSATCOM and COMSATCOM
    Review Wideband MILSATCOM and COMSATCOM constellation health and welfare.
    Provide support to mitigate, resolve and restore user networks degraded or lost due to outages.
    Develop contingency plans for the use of MILSATCOM in the event COMSATCOM users experience issues.
    Develop contingency plans for the use of COMSATCOM in the event of MILSATCOM degradation.
    Provide support to help mitigate, resolve, and recover EMI issues.
    Maintain knowledge of national capabilities in support of EMI geolocation and associated resolution efforts.
    Support the planning and execution of complementary COMSATCOM operations to MILSATCOM systems.
    Assist with the revision of plans, policies, and documentation to account for future changes in payload requirements.

    Review instructions and guidance for current applicability and accuracy as changes occur to the space segment, control segment and terminal segment.

    Support assessment of COMSATCOM resources to support OPLANS, CONPLANS and optimization of resources.
    Provide assistance to editing and maintaining content on websites in support of Wideband MILSATCOM.
    Provide technical support to constellation reconfigurations, deployments, and movements as requested.

    Routinely plan WGS and DSCS missions along with Government planners to achieve and maintain mastery of military system planning and situational awareness of WGS capacity, capability, and offload needs.

    Routinely review DoD's leased commercial systems to ascertain which commercial assets are available to offload WGS missions to, and DoD's SATCOM terminals to see which can be moved to commercial systems.

    Make recommendations on which missions to move to commercial SATCOM support.

    Required Qualifications:
    Four (4) years of operational experience with MILSATCOM systems

    Four (4) years of relevant experience with the SATCOM apportionment planning and allocation 2 processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned SATCOM resources.

    Must understand planning on both Commercial and military Wideband SATCOM
    Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with eligibility for SCI
    Preferred, but not required: 2-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering discipline.
    Ability to travel up to 10%

    Additional Information:
    Travel is not anticipated, but maybe required on rare occasion
