    About This Role:



    Kansas State University Department of Grain Science and Industry is seeking applicants for a Fellow Post-Doc Research position in the Pet Food Program. This individual will conduct both fundamental and applied research in pet food processing, and companion animal nutrition and metabolism. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up a closed-circuit indirect calorimetry system and conducting initial isotope dilution studies. Will be expected to conduct animal trials and perform analytical laboratory analysis, including but not limited to proximate analysis, ELISA, in vitro assays, fecal microbiome analysis, and other methods. The successful candidate is expected to prepare reports and manuscripts for publication, deliver presentations at scientific meetings and to stakeholders, assist in training and supervising student researchers, manage lab facility, and perform other duties as requested by the PI.

    What You will Need to Succeed:



    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Ph. D in Animal Science, Veterinary science, or relevant disciplines

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • A strong history of research publication in referred journals.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak clear English.
    • Candidates should be highly motivated, do research independently.
    • Able to work in a multi-cultural and team environment.
