We are actively seeking a Therapeutic Foster Care Therapist to join our dynamic team in the Selma, Alabama area. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the emotional and mental well-being of children in therapeutic foster care settings.     What will I be doing?

    As a Therapeutic Foster Care Therapist, your primary responsibility will be to provide individual and family therapy to children placed in therapeutic foster care. You will collaborate closely with foster parents, caseworkers, and other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each child. This includes conducting assessments, developing therapeutic interventions, and monitoring progress. Additionally, you will provide guidance and support to foster parents in implementing trauma-informed care strategies, creating a nurturing environment for the children.

    We are looking for a therapist with a strong background in providing therapeutic services to children and families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be working closely with a diverse group of individuals. A compassionate and empathetic approach is essential, along with the ability to build trusting relationships with both children and foster parents. Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to the unique needs of each child are key qualities we are seeking in a candidate.     Qualifications:

    • A Master's degree in the Social Services field.
    • Two years' experience with youth or families
    Salary with additional pay available once billable minimums met.
