Vaco has a current opening for an Accounts Payable Specialist located in Downtown Cincinnati.TheAccounts Payable professionalwill be responsible for the daily upkeep of Accounts Payable, ensuring invoices are entered into an accounting system, payments made within acceptable timeframe, and other duties assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Scanning, sorting and data entry of supplier invoices.
• Ensure compliance with approval hierarchies.
• Support the store locations with payment of direct ship items.
• Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries and escalations in a timely manner.
• Support accounting and tax audits.
• Matching of purchase orders, receiving documents and invoices and resolution of discrepancies.
• Analyze, develop and document processes in order to create standardization and gain efficiencies.
• Perform other duties as requested by Accounts Payable Manager and other management team members.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated working knowledge of the A/P process (including 3-way match).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong focus and passion for service to external customers, internal customers, and suppliers.
• Able to handle multiple tasks independently and to work in an efficient manner.
• Must be team oriented with the ability to work on collaborative, high-performance teams.
• Capable of working independently and cooperatively with all levels of the organization as well as customers and vendors.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience in general accounting and/or accounts payable.
• Associates Degree preferred but not necessary
