    Competitive Edge Physical Therapy is a fast-growing, privately owned, sports orthopedic and biomechanics practice in San Jose California. We are a cash-based clinic, don't contract with any insurance companies, have the most advanced technology in the business, and as a result - attract and get to work with the best clients in the Bay area.

    We currently have an immediate opening for a full-time licensed physical therapist.

    Our Running and Sports Performance Lab:

    Competitive EDGE Physical Therapy is one of the most advanced outpatient physical therapy centers in the country. Our facility is a research-grade biomechanics lab and human performance center that caters to athletes of all levels. Our center is outfitted with 3D IMU sensors, muscle EMG, force plates, and high-speed video. Our team serves as the physical therapy team for the MLS San Jose Earthquakes and works with high level ultra and marathon runners.

    Our vision is to transform the field of physical therapy from boring and outdated to technology-forward and engaging. Every week we block two hours for training and education as a team and one hour for direct, one-on-one mentorship with an experienced OCS and CSCS credentialed physical therapist.

    For the right candidate who has aspirations for clinic ownership, Competitive Edge offers a pathway to become an owner of a new Competitive Edge location with on the job mentorship and training provided.

    Ideal Candidates for the Role Will:

    • Perform running and walking gait analysis, return to sport testing, sports performance testing, initial evaluations, and follow up appointments
    • Ensure clients achieve their clinical, health, and lifestyle outcomes
    • Be able to clearly communicate the value of our service
    • Provide a level of customer care that will cause clients to refer friends and family

    Skills/Qualifications:

    • Current CA and PT license
    • Current CPR Certification
    • 2+ years-experience preferred - new grads welcome to apply
    • CSCS and OCS – preferred
    • Strong communication and clinical decision making skills
    • Must be a US Citizen

    Position Highlights:

    • 1-hour evaluations and follow ups
    • Work with motivated athletes and clients who are actively invested in their outcome
    • Ample opportunity for professional growth through in-house training and mentorship
    • 2-hour professional development training and in-services EVERY week
    • 1:1 weekly mentorship with an OCS and sports biomechanics professional
    • Work with high-tech biofeedback and motion analysis equipment
    • Ability to use the gym for personal use and training
