- Work safely in a maintenance department within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Utilize advanced electrical skills including -
- Reading electrical power and control schematics
- Terminating wire per electrical schematics
- Calculating conduit size and fill
- Installing conduit and pulling wire
- Installing lighting and ballasts
- Troubleshooting motors and motor control circuits
- Using standard electrical meters, megohmmeters, and specialty test equipment
- Racking breakers in and out of 480V switchgear
- Stabbing bus plugs and MCC buckets
- PM's of electrical power equipment such as switchgear, MCC's, bus ducts, and panels
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and Lock Out Tag Out
- Performing energized electrical work when necessary
- Operate boom lift and scissor lift
- Electrical systems range from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-phase
- Knowledge of medium voltage systems (over 480) is a plus.
- Utilize basic mechanical skills.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to work overtime as assigned.
- Additional duties may be assigned
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting and/or moving items over 75 pounds. Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.
- Walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Working indoors or outdoors all year.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
