Description
Hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse for an In House Organ Donor Coordinator position. Must be local to Lakeland, Florida and be a Registered Nurse to apply.
Must-haves
Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
Ability to work full time Monday- Friday /be on call weekends/evenings for possible donors.
Reliable vehicle with clean driving record.

Experience working in the ICU, ER, or critical care units.
Day-to-Day
This Registered Nurse will work as an In House Donor Coordinator. It's not a patient care role, however it's educating family's and donors about organ donation while handling the coordination of the organ donations. You will work closely with the Hospital Development Liaison, educate staff on designated hospital systems, ensure resources are available, coordinate with hospitals and company staff to evaluate and respond to hospital referrals or organ and tissue donation. This combined role requires focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with hospital staff with the goal of facilitating a successful recovery of organs and tissue for transplant.
Responsibilities:
Act as primary communication link between company staff and hospital staff.
Identify potential donor referrals in collaboration with hospital staff.
Participate in quality assessment performance improvement activities for the OPO.
Attend Hospital Development initiatives such as Donor Advisory Committees.
Annual Compensation: $74,000-79,000k
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
