Must Haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science
• 5+ years related experience
• Proficient with HPLC, Dissolution apparatus, Karl Fischer water titration, GPC, particle size, pH, FTIR, Colorimeter, and/or UV-Vis spectrophotometry
• Experience in proper use of lab notebooks according to cGMPs and GLPs

Plusses:

• Familiar with Waters software

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking and Analytical Scientist for a large specialty pharmaceutical manufacturing client. The Analytica Scientist, under general supervision, conducts routine method development activities. May conduct some non-routine/non-GXP testing as needed. Perform review of other chemist notebooks and data. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments. Perform quality inspector duties.

Responsibilities:

• Method development for various pipeline products
• Method validation activities
• Dissolution development
• Analysis of formulation and/or R&D samples, assist other departments in analyzing samples as requested.
• Write SOPs, protocols and reports to describe department activities.
• Perform technical transfer duties as needed.
• Perform analyses in support of OOS or aberrant analytical results.
• Contribute in viable ways to improve work procedures and methods in own work unit, contributing to overall efficiencies or quality of work/products.
• Knowledge of cGMP guidelines, ability to maintain laboratory records according to cGMPs and GLPs.
• Interact closely with project teams and across departments
• Provide detailed and thorough peer review of data.
• May serve as a contact for vendors and contract laboratories.
• Participates in departmental meetings and teams as assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and works in a safe manner.
• Support lab management during investigations
