    Description

    The Director of Corporate Finance plays a crucial role in Remington's finance department. Their primary responsibilities include:

    Responsibilities –

    Financial Reporting:

    • Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
    • Communicating financial performance and results to internal stakeholders and senior management.

    Investor Relations:

    • Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential investors, analysts, and shareholders.
    • Developing and executing an investor relations strategy to communicate the company's financial performance, strategy, and key developments.
    • Addressing inquiries from investors and analysts and managing the flow of information to maintain transparency.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Conducting financial analysis to assess the company's financial health and performance.
    • Providing insights and recommendations on financial strategies, investment decisions, and capital allocation.
    • Monitoring key financial metrics and identifying areas for improvement or optimization.

    Regulatory Compliance:

    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial and securities regulations, including disclosure requirements and reporting deadlines.
    • Staying informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations and adapting the company's reporting practices accordingly.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborating with senior management to contribute to the development of financial and business strategies.
    • Providing financial insights that support decision-making, including mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and capital structure management.

    Communication Skills:

    • Demonstrating excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Managing crisis communication and handling sensitive financial disclosures as needed.

    Requirements –

    • The successful candidate will possess very strong analytical skills and business acumen
    • Will be extremely skilled in developing financial models in Excel and building PowerPoint presentations
    • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Strong influencing skills in conjunction with attention to detail, tenacity, and the ability to articulate to all levels of influence
    • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
    • The flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics required
    • Minimum 5 years of hospitality or real estate investment is preferred
