    REPORTS TO: Public Grants and Contracts Manager

    CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, 1.0 FTE

    FLSA STATUS: Non- Exempt

    LOCATION: Remote or Hybrid (Portland, OR) - Candidates located in or near the Pacific West Coast region are preferred.

    COMPENSATION: $24.03 per hour

    POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Latino Network seeks a collaborative results focused mission-driven professional with proven non-profit fundraising experience to support the growth of our grants and contracts portfolio. Under the supervision of the Public Grants and Contracts Manager, the Grants Coordinator will support all phases of our grants and contracts proposal development process, including (but not limited to): grant writing in partnership with department directors and program managers, compliance with reporting requirements, accurate record and folder upkeep and maintenance of our department's grants and contracts calendar. The successful candidate will utilize their grant writing experience, communication and organization skills to work with the development, program, and finance teams to support a fast-growing grant funder portfolio.

    PRIMARY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Researches and identifies funding opportunities from local, regional, and national foundation prospects to support and grow our programs and services.
    • Works with Directors and Program Managers to develop compelling grant and contract proposals, with support from the Public Grants and Contracts Manager.
    • Works in partnership with staff to maintain a grants and contracts calendar that ensures accurate and timely submission of proposals, reports, and letters of interest.
    • Works in partnership with staff to maintain updated foundation partner profiles in EveryAction database.
    • Collaborates with the evaluation and program departments to ensure accurate and efficient fact collection for grant applications and comprehensive analysis for reporting.
    • Maintains complete, accurate, and uniform proposal files and records.
    • Works collaboratively in a team environment to ensure grants are submitted on time and within application parameters.
    • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
    • Respectfully takes direction from the supervisor.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Requirements

    REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
    • 3+ years of combined experience, education, and or training - formal and/or informal - of commensurate fundraising experience in the non-profit sector. Examples of experience, education, and training that fulfill this requirement include but are not limited to, volunteer or paid work, internships, community-based training and workshops, community college, trade school, university courses, and degrees. Experience, training, and education from inside and outside the United States are considered equally. Transferable skills and lived experience will be considered.
    • Bicultural proficiency preferred: knowledge of Latin culturally based worldview, adaptive reasoning, and problem-solving practices of Latin individuals, families, and community.
    • Understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources and a base knowledge of how to locate potential sources of funding.
    • Ability to establish, cultivate, and steward strong professional relationships to build lasting partnerships and trust while aligning their passions with the mission, priorities, and goals of Latino Network.
    • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting key organizational deadlines.
    • Professionally responsive, dependable, and maintains excellent follow through with a wide variety of stakeholders.
    • Performance-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic, high accountability, and commitment to achieving goals.
    • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to successfully achieve the functions of the position as described in the job responsibilities.

    • Ability to use discretion and convey sensitivity as it relates to the needs of donors and the agency.
    • Proficient in the use of donor database systems, and familiarity with EveryAction is preferred.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
    • Evening and weekend availability may be required.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Latino Network is a highly engaged work environment with satellite operations and positions performing work both onsite and remotely. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
