    Job Summary:

    Mission Children s is seeking a pediatric neurologist to be part of our innovative pediatric team of subspecialists located in Asheville, North Carolina.
    Qualified Candidates:
    • BC/BE by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology with Special Qualification in pediatric neurology
    • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina
    Position Highlights:
    • Strong support within a comprehensive pediatric subspecialist team, including pediatric hospitalists and intensivists
    • Primarily clinic based (80%) with consults in the hospital (20%)
    • Ability to see and average of 12-16 patients per day
    • 19 dedicated pediatric beds
    • 9 PICU beds
    • 51 Level III NICU beds

    • Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year We are
    • The region s first and only pediatric intensive care unit
    • Home to the Olson Huff Center for Child Development, providing ongoing therapy and medical services for children with developmental delays
    • A member of the Children s Oncology Group, providing the national standard for pediatric cancer care.
    • Mission Hospital is a level II trauma center serving the 18 counties of western NC
