    Who will you be working with?
    The Wabtec North America Transit Services team supports all customers in their challenges

    (maintenance & operation optimization, reliability & availability, safety, comfort...) with customized solutions for spare parts, repair & overhaul activities on existing trains, platforms and infrastructure. They are organized into several regional units, maximizing proximity to customers and response time.
    How will you make a difference?
    As a member of the North America Transit Human Resources team, you will be responsible for performing


    Human Resources related duties at both the production and professional levels and will carry out responsibilities in the areas of employee relations, training, and people analytics.

    You will be the NA Transit Services HR escalation point on critical issues while also engaging with the team to improve the team culture.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
    Minimum of 2 years professional work experience in the Human Resources function with responsibilities in HR coordination, recruiting and/or front-line employee support
    High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, PPT, Word

    Sound knowledge of local labor laws and government requirements
    Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational & documentation skills
    Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to provide feedback and address employee issues in a positive manner
    Understanding of LEAN concepts
    What will your typical day look like?
    A focal point for HR Administrative tasks such as headcount reporting, time & attendance audits and employee on boarding.
    Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on employee advocacy/engagement, conflict resolution, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate
    Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope; navigates employees and manager to HR Services when it is the more appropriate resource
    Partner with team of HR Managers to drive projects and initiatives
    Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved
    Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, performance

    management/discipline,

    procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment
    Lead key HR processes including supervisor training, staffing selection processes and employee development, etc.
    Conduct HR training and support for functional processes like New Employee Orientation, New Manager Assimilation, Benefits Open Enrollment, etc.
    Manage HR programs such as Disability, Worker's Compensation, FMLA
    Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed
    Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care
    What about the physical demands of the job?
    Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE
    Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands-on process

    You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

    Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met. This role is an on-site role.
