    **Job Description: Senior Controls Engineer**

    **Experience Level:** Mid-senior, 15 years required

    We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a leadership role in Addison, IL. This position involves project management and hardware engineering leadership for delivering automation systems across various industries.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Lead project teams in identifying requirements and developing specifications for automation solutions using PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.

    Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery, ensuring they meet customer requirements.

    Design control system architecture, select components, detail schematic diagrams, and document systems.

    Manage industrial networking and connectivity for control system components and instrumentation.

    Act as a technical lead, guiding engineers and technicians and performing project management tasks as needed.

    Oversee project execution plans, budgets, scheduling, time tracking, financial tracking, and reporting.

    Ensure project profitability and successful project delivery.

    **Qualifications:**

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.

    10+ years of experience in electrical schematics design, hazardous location control systems, surge protection, control panel production, PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms, and DCS platforms.

    Experience in Water/Wastewater Treatment, Life Sciences, Building Automation, Food and Beverage, Oil & Gas, and Mining industries.

    Leadership experience in providing control system solutions and mentoring engineers.

    Ability to travel up to 25% within the Chicago area and occasionally to surrounding states.

    **Physical Demands and Working Environment:**

    Physical demands include seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, mounting/dismounting equipment, pushing, and pulling.

    Working environment includes standard office settings, on-site office environments, diverse industrial settings, and frequent use of computers, copy machines, and phones.
