Job Summary:
- The (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) role involves providing exceptional nursing care to patients by:
- Demonstrating strong organizational and leadership abilities to evaluate patient conditions
- Identifying the urgency of patients' issues and requirements
- Administering clinical nursing interventions to critically ill patients in need of intensive medical attention
- Formulating and executing patient care plans to optimize outcomes
- Maintaining a secure and healing environment
Essential Functions:
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team
- Conducting and evaluating initial and ongoing patient assessments, devising care plans, administering treatments, and assessing treatment efficacy
- Analyzing and organizing information to take prompt and informed patient-centered actions utilizing clinical expertise and inquiry
- Anticipating and effectively responding to rapidly evolving patient circumstances
- Safely administering medications in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols
- Performing other assigned duties
Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred but not mandatory)
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RN candidate
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred but not obligatory)
- ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (mandatory within 6 months of employment)
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
