- Completes and ensures distribution of necessary mammography patient communication.
- Notifies patients of recall suggestions and assists in scheduling.
- Maintains quality assurance in accordance with ACR/MQSA on a daily basis and completes quality assurance reports.
- Assists Lead Mammographer with ACR and MQSA accreditations.
- Responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance of the equipment and arranging with the service engineers for accurate problems as they develop
- Maintain, and re-stocks various medical modality supplies as needed.
- Monitors daily workflow and ensures appointment hours are filled.
- Perform exams and assist in other modalities or at front desk when not performing Mammography.
- Answers and directs incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner-identifies center and self.
- Schedules procedures; assist with clerical functions.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of employed information systems.
- Demonstrates enthusiastic commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Communicates with support staff to keep patient flow moving.
- Communicates schedule delays with patients and their families.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Performs other related duties as directed.
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality.
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification in Mammography or successfully completion of certification within 12 months of hire.
- BLS certification.

Job Summary
Under direction of the Lead Technologist, the primary responsibilities of the Mammography Technologist are to operate the Mammography equipment, perform specified exams, produce high quality images and support equipment to ensure proper function. The Mammography technologist is expected to provide excellent customer service, and participate in all support office duties.
