POSITION OVERVIEW
SteerBridge seeks a
Construction Project Manager/Architect to provide support to construction projects for the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM).
The
Construction Project Manager/Architect will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to the administration of construction, design/build, engineering, and facilities management for complex-construction projects.
Services will include, but not limited to, pre-design phase services, design phase services, procurement phase services, construction services, claims services, administration services, and technical specialty services.
REQUIRED
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be eligible and able to pass a federal background check.
Registered Architect license.
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Must be a
licensed professional
with a
degree
in Engineering or Architecture from an accredited institution of higher learning and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience with construction projects of similar scope and scale.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Developing scopes of work for government review/approval to address facility deficiencies and/or repairs, either as a stand-alone contract or a change order to an existing project.
Provide budget and construction cost estimates and supporting documentation to process changes and/or in support of stand-alone statements of work for project approval by the government.
Provide technical and functional reviews of designs, plans, and specifications to ensure they are in alignment with best practices and applicable codes and unified facilities criteria.
Utilizing NEXCOM electronic project management system to develop, route, and document files, reports, and related project related documentation.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to quickly understand and master the requirements of local state and federal jurisdictions and the requirements of each of each in relation to a project.
Must possess knowledge of Construction Contract Documents including Front End and Technical Specifications and Drawings to readily understand and assess the requirements.
Must have the skillset and a working knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.
Must possess communication, language, and software skills with the ability to utilize a variety of software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products by applying knowledge of computer literacy.
Candidates must bring demonstrated experience in:
Project Planning:
Develop and execute project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
Client Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs, provide updates, and address concerns.
Team Coordination:
Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
Budget Management:
Develop project budgets, track expenses, and manage project finances to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Schedule Management:
Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and identify and address any schedule delays to ensure timely project completion.
Design Oversight:
Provide oversight and guidance on
architectural design processes , ensuring alignment with project requirements, codes, and standards.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that
architectural designs
meet quality standards, codes, and client expectations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Understanding of local building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility requirements to ensure designs comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project success and minimizing potential liabilities.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and reports, to track project progress and ensure accountability.
Stakeholder Management:
Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory authorities, and internal team members, to facilitate collaboration and resolve conflicts.
Construction Administration:
Provide support during the construction phase, including reviewing submittals, conducting site visits, and addressing construction-related issues to ensure project success.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
Project Closeout:
Ensure smooth project closeout, including obtaining final approvals, conducting project evaluations, and transitioning deliverables to clients.

A salary commensurate with experience will be offered.
