Machine Field Service Technician Opportunity | Machine Tool/CNC/Automation Equipment | Rockford, Illinois
Malone is hiring a Field Service Technician for a respected and growing company in the machine tool and factory automation industry.

Full-Time, Direct Hire
~Travel:
~60% (Company van provided)
~Competitive hourly pay ($28.00 – $45.00/hour, based on experience)
~Core hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm (When working onsite/varies when in field)

What You'll Do
Install, maintain, and repair machine tools and factory automation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Provide on-site and in-field technical service and customer support.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Collaborate with engineering and service teams to ensure equipment reliability.
Travel to customer sites (approximately 60% - company van provided) , maintaining strong communication and professionalism.
What we are looking for:
5+ years of experience as a Traveling Field Service Technician/Engineer.
Background in machine tools, factory automation, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with diagnostic and repair expertise.
Experience working with a wide range of equipment including CNC machines, spindles, manual machines, grinders, chillers repairs, automated equipments, retrofits, rebuilds, installations and more
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
State-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
Proficiency with laptops and diagnostic software tools.
Flexibility and willingness to travel (domestic), including overnight and extended stays away from home.
