    • Along with the Attending Veterinarian, monitor and facilitate compliance with all applicable regulations, guidelines and standards that relate to animal care and use (e.g. USDA AWA, PHS, AAALAC).
    • Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports, AAALAC accreditation program description and sponsor animal welfare evaluations
    • Provide veterinary expertise and consultation during study planning and study protocol development to ensure compliance with animal welfare, procedural and regulatory requirements.
    • Work with Study Directors to devise study specific veterinary palliative plans and humane endpoints for IACUC submission and review with the technical staff.
    • Interact with operational teams to champion animal welfare, advise on care and maintenance of laboratory animals and coordinate scheduling of planned veterinary activities.
    • Support management of the stock colony and oversight of the rodent sentinel health, preventative medicine, enrichment, social housing and facility sanitation programs.
    • Participate in the creation, review, revision and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Policies relating to animal procedures, husbandry and welfare
