- Insmed is seeking a skilled and creative biologist, virologist, or bioengineer to lead discovery and engineering campaigns focused on next-generation gene therapies for rare diseases.
- Develop and implement quantitative in vitro cellular and molecular assays to characterize lead candidates
- Assess candidates' pharmacological properties in vivo
- MS or BS with equivalent experience in cell biology, virology, molecular biology, bioengineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with viral vector engineering for gene therapy applications strongly preferred
- Experience with molecular biology and recombinant DNA technology required
- Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, neutralization assays and other cell-based functional assays preferred
- Hands-on in vivo model experience preferred, if no experience, must be open to learning
