- Assess and monitor patients' vital signs, hemodynamic status, and overall condition continuously
- Administer and monitor complex medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment, such as ventilators, dialysis machines, and cardiac monitors
- Provide life-sustaining measures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient care, progress, and any changes in condition accurately and promptly
- Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain clinical competency in critical care
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required
- Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Critical Care Nursing certification or equivalent experience
- Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of critical care nursing principles, procedures, and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Adherence to ethical standards, regulations, and hospital policies
