    Our client is a subsidiary of multi-billion dollar manufacturer with locations throughout the midwest. They make a product used in both professional and consumer construction, with a focus on electromechanical assembly at this facility. They work with several local suppliers and leverage a skilled engineering force to reduce cost and improve quality for final customers.

    Job Description

  • Maintaining relationships with key suppliers
  • Developing supplier performance metrics, tracking KPIs, and driving improvements
  • Resolving supplier non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
  • Assist with external audits
  • Travel on-site to suppliers
  • Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
  • Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process
  • Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
  • Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
  • Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes

    The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ years of supplier quality engineering experience
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
  • Understanding of AIAG core tools such as PPAPs and APQP
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, extrusion, and assembly
  • Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Comfortable with travel between 20-40% What's on Offer
  • Base salary up to $110,000 depending on experience and interview performance
