    Overview

    Security Manager
    The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a

    Security Manager

    to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas.

    We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
    The

    Security Manager

    will be responsible for

    overseeing the property's security operations while working with all department's to promote a safe environment.

    Responsibilities

    Review daily activity reports to detect unusual activity, identify trends, and correct hazardous discrepancies
    Promote a safe working environment while adhering to OSHA mandated standards
    Train department team members on investigation techniques, incident reporting practices and regular reviews of work has submitted by team members
    Manage the property's emergency preparedness programs while educating colleagues on procedures, implementing evacuation drills, regular checks of life/safety equipment, and continuous updates of plans and manuals
    Experience using video management systems, to view, replay, and archive surveillance footage
    Serve as a liaison between the hotel and various law enforcement agencies who will be coordinating visits from high profile guests
    Represent the Post Oak Security Department in various meetings with both internal colleagues and external guests and clients

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree obtained from an accredited institution
    Minimum of 7 years' experience working in Security or Loss Prevention with 5 years serving in management or supervisory capacity
    Must obtain a CPR certification, as well as a state issued Private Security Officer License within 30 days of hire date
    Must achieve CLSO designation within 6 months of hire date
    Knowledge and understanding of state laws and municipal ordinances
    Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and any security operation software systems
    Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
    Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required

    Physical demands:
    Capable of standing for extended periods of time while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor
    Ability to ascent multiple stairwell levels at an expedite pace in emergency instances
