    The AWS Security Hub team is looking for a passionate and innovative Systems Development Engineers that can help us build systems that prove security control correctness and help us manage their entire lifecycle.

    AWS Security Hub is the security and compliance center for AWS customers. One of its main functions is conducting automated checks against AWS security best practices, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.

    As a Systems Development Engineer on our team, you will be instrumental helping us design and maintain systems that deliver and monitor security controls to our customers.

    There is no part of the lifecycle that a Systems Development Engineer on our team won't have a significant impact on.

    We'll be relying on you to provide guidance on system architecture and recommend solutions in alignment with systems engineering best practices and to then go forth and implement those systems.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Collaborate with experienced crossdisciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative systems solutions to the market.
    • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
    • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
    • Integrate industry standard AWS systems to scale operations in a fastgrowing organization.
    • Work in an agile and evolving environment to consistently deliver highquality solutions.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 2+ years of noninternship professional software development experience
    • 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
    • 4+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and handson systems engineering experience
    • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
    • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
    • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting largescale infrastructure

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

    The base pay for this position ranges from $103,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.

    Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
