    We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual who will work with collaborative engineering teams to develop unit and functional test solutions for HVAC controls/Thermostats.

    We aim to recruit a highly motivated engineering student deeply passionate about Computer Engineering. The technology evolving and the product offerings are growing.
    Responsibilities Develop and validate unit tests for embedded firmware.
    Set up an automated test environment for a thermostat.
    Assist on firmware development activities where possible.
    Travels as needed.
    Qualifications 1+ years of experience with C/C++ or Java programming.
    Debug skills with tools such as JTAG/serial debugger, DMM, protocol analyzer and oscilloscopes.
    Scripting languages and for test automation (Perl, Python or similar) a plus.
    Experience in consumer electronics product development, especially HVAC controls, thermostats, and sensors a plus.
    Capable of working in a deadline driven environment.
    Problem solving skills a must.
    Education Working towards a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related.$20 - $21 an hour Universal Electronics Inc.
