    Overview
    Resia is a vertically integrated real estate company that develops, builds, and manages multi-family communities across the country. We provide families with modern, quality apartments to call home. Resia delivers thoughtfully designed apartments that provide comfort and peace of mind. Resia Pods is a subsidiary of Resia that will be leasing a plant to produce Pods for use in the multi-family communities.
    As part of our team, youll collaborate vertically from design & development to the plant floor to design systems that will build PODs and ship them to the construction site.
    Summary
    Overall Responsibilities: Develops and leads improvements for new and existing manufacturing processes and systems. Utilizes continuous improvement and engineering principles to improve, safety, quality, delivery cost. Principle areas of focus will be automation, line balancing and workflow .
    Responsibilities
    • Review designs and provide engineering and manufacturability input assisting to make updates where necessary.
    • Develop innovative solutions to design/manufacturing issues.
    • Drive Lean Enterprise practices - apply Advance Manufacturing technologies and methodologies across the facilities to drive continuous improvement and exceed expectations.
    • Design and develop a maintenance plan for the automation and facility including preventive maintenance.
    • Lead and train the team on all aspects of advanced manufacturing engineering and maintenance systems.
    • Work with cross functional team to provide support to the manufacturing operators building the PODs.
    • Initiate and lead new process development projects using a team approach.
    • Initiate and lead process improvement efforts throughout the facility.
    • Champion automation projects to reduce risk and improve throughput.
    • Design and evaluate process and fixtures needed for manufacturing.
    • Develop control parameters for new and existing processes.
    • Create process flow diagrams and drawings as required.
    • Utilize enterprise system to facilitate manufacturing process development.
    • Utilize project management skills to maintain an appropriate level of project control with respect to project budget, project timeline and resource allocation.
    • Use mathematical modeling, testing and other tools to verify, validate or assess process capability.
    • Ensure that design for manufacturability has been incorporated as part of all new product developments projects (Product Innovation Process).
    • Create and maintain the required level of control with all engineering documents. Included in this are: solid models, drawings, engineering procedures, engineering work instructions, engineering standards.
    • Help ensure accuracy, completeness and the suitability of all Engineering Change Requests that implicate product design and process flow.

    • Set standards and performance metrics as needed in support of organizational goals and objectives.
    • Implementation of strategic initiatives to increase productivity, support growth and lower operating costs.
    • Operational strategies that support company key initiatives.
    • Hire and staff the Engineering and Maintenance Teams.

    Qualifications
    Qualifications and Experience
    • At least 5 years of experience in Engineering, Maintenance and Automation.
    • At least 5 years of experience in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
    • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with relevant work experience with Automation and Plant Assembly
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics including developing and managing KPIs.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate with tooling integrators, architecture and engineering firms, local building code and fire marshals as required.
    Knowledge And Skills
    • An excellent grasp of engineering and manufacturing principles
    • Demonstrated ability and proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent modeling software.
    • Relevant experience with MS Word, MS Excel, ERP, Project, CAD, and document control. Systems
    • Good administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team as appropriate.
    • Automation experience including manufacturing line development and robotics training.
    • Must have a passion for safety, workplace organization and continuous improvement with a high level of skill in Lean Tools and Lean implementation.
    • Knowledge of Automation and Process Integration
    • Proficient with computer systems and software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook Email.
    • Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.
    • Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying defects in the production line.
