Job Description

AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Analyst in Piscataway, NJ.

Job Details:

• Work with company financial systems and processes to provide cost data in formats necessary to control the project
• Develop proficiency in the use of company cornerstone systems
• With financial terminology and measures, recognize the financial impact of various project actions
• Assist in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues
• Utilize drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data
• Develop knowledge of accounting principles
• Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting
• Prepare analysis of progress trends and cost impact
• Participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices
• Collect and analyze data on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations
• Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations
• Assist in tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures
• Assist with the creation of baseline budgets
• Support the project reporting process
• Participate in project cost review meetings
• Gather data for procedure development
• 50% domestic travel required to client sites in the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area
• Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week within the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area
• Full-time

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word
2. Primavera P6
3. Project Management Information Systems, including Procore
4. Oracle JDE
5. InEight estimating software
6. Business Intelligence / Reporting / Dashboarding tools including Power BI / Tableau
