Job Description
AECOM Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Analyst in Piscataway, NJ.
Job Details:
- Work with company financial systems and processes to provide cost data in formats necessary to control the project
- Develop proficiency in the use of company cornerstone systems
- With financial terminology and measures, recognize the financial impact of various project actions
- Assist in analyzing and using financial data to identify key project issues
- Utilize drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data
- Develop knowledge of accounting principles
- Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting
- Prepare analysis of progress trends and cost impact
- Participate in reviewing and approving contractor invoices
- Collect and analyze data on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations
- Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations
- Assist in tracking purchase orders and subcontract commitments and expenditures
- Assist with the creation of baseline budgets
- Support the project reporting process
- Participate in project cost review meetings
- Gather data for procedure development
- 50% domestic travel required to client sites in the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area
- Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week within the New York City, Newark, Jersey City metropolitan area
- Full-time
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.
Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, Project Field Engineer, Controls Analyst, or related occupation.
Position requires experience in the following:
- Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word
- Primavera P6
- Project Management Information Systems, including Procore
- Oracle JDE
- InEight estimating software
- Business Intelligence / Reporting / Dashboarding tools including Power BI / Tableau
