UH Geauga Regionals Medical Center Cath Lab
is a small group of dedicated cardiac professionals who enjoy the challenge of treating cardiac, peripheral and interventional Radiology procedures.

Cardiac Cath Lab RNs work closely with our techs and may scrub, circulate or monitor cases rotating as necessary.Ask your recruiter about our

Position Summary
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Essential FunctionsImplements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

Complies with all policies and standards.
For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Experience1 year RN experience preferred.
Preferred experience:
ICU, ED, Cath/EP Lab; will orient nurses to critical care if no critical care experience.
Education
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of nursing process and practice. Required
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Required
Licenses and Certifications
Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio required.
Current BLS and ACLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
Shift:
Hours:
8 hour shifts; 7:00-3:30 p.m.; This is an outpatient department & the staff works until the cases are complete.
Call Requirement:
30 minutes arrival to hospital after page.
