Job summary
The Opportunity As a dedicated Protective Security Officer II you will provides armed response to emergency incidents involving workplace violence active shooters duress situations medical emergencies access control violations and other safety and security situations in protection of the workforce Performs as a team member in enforcing established procedures under supervision Performs routine duties and identifies reports problems in accordance with standard operating procedures Supports Senior PSOs and Security Management with overall team performance We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 5 days per week This position can be based in one of the following location San Antonio TX Relocation assistance is not available for this position What Youll Do Understands applies policies procedures displaying basic knowledge on operational matters Responds to critical incidents takes direction on immediate actions to stop acts of violence render first aid resolve issues during response phase Incident Management Participates training drills receives feedback response after action reviews emergency response situations Monitors alarms cameras fire alarm systems access control programs along radio traffic dispatching officers coordinating actions critical incidents documenting activities escalation incident reports Controls access employees visitors creates issues credentials responds policy violations Performed patrols facilities properties prevent trespassing theft vandalism parking traffic infractions unauthorized conduct impacting safety campus Enforces parking traffic controls composes incident reports Completes duty assignments on-job duty training Conducts post-related activities special events supports executive protection law enforcement during incident response Documents shift ensures detailed information passed team members Attends completes all training sessions responds feedback security management training team Maintains current first aid training Ensures risks associated business activities effectively identified measured monitored controlled risk compliance policies procedures What You Have High School Diploma General Equivalency Diploma applicable trade technical school diploma 1 more years physical security law enforcement military combat arms experience Ability operate computer programs access control camera systems alarm annunciation radio dispatch Microsoft Office tools Word Excel PowerPoint Must possess valid state driver license Job Offer contingent passing MMPI evaluation Initial continued employment conditional upon passing USAs Protective Security standards within attempts obtaining required state armed security license certification assigned post state within months What Sets You Apart Ability work weekends holidays overtime if required First Aid CPR Certification Demonstrates firearm proficiency Ability communicate clearly effectively verbally writing respond rapidly effectively during emergency situations Previous military law enforcement experience preferred applicable Prior experience using related systems Report management system two-way radios visitor management systems Microsoft Office suite tools Associates degree Law Enforcement Criminal Justice US military experience service spouse domestic partner optional The above description reflects details necessary describe principal functions job should not construed detailed description all work requirements may performed job.
