Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• No weekends, no holidays, no on-call responsibilities

• Support 10-20 patients in clinic daily in a background position

• 2 years strong neuro-spine background required or 2-4 years strong clinic experience with willingness to learn neuro-spine

• Open to first-time travelers if well qualified

• Care for pre and post operative neuro spine surgery patients (no stroke patients)

• Required certifications: BLS

• ADN acceptable if well qualified, BSN preferred

• EPIC experience required (clinic view, no inpatient workflow needed)

• Up to 4 weeks orientation provided

• Primary responsibilities include in-basket management, nurse triage including e-messaging, placing orders and referrals, patient education, medication reconciliation, verifying surgery clearance with other specialties, and coordinating care from outpatient to inpatient and back to outpatient for follow-up

• Must have strong communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure

• No floating required

• All requests for time off must be approved by Manager/Provider prior to start

• Dress code: solid color scrubs or business casual

This healthcare facility specializes in neurosurgery and neuro-spine services, operating as part of a comprehensive medical system. The clinic provides pre and post-operative care for neuro spine surgery patients and focuses on coordinating comprehensive care from outpatient through inpatient services and back to outpatient follow-up. The facility maintains modern technology including EPIC EMR systems and provides strong departmental support with dedicated leadership, medical assistants, and reception staff.
