Pines of Sarasota is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Floor Technician.

The Floor Maintenance Technician reports to an Environmental Services Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of floors throughout the Pines campus.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

Diagnose floor conditions and implement an appropriate cleaning/maintenance procedure according to the type of floor surface and covering, i.e., ceramic tile, vinyl tile, wood, carpet, etc.

Perform regular floor maintenance in hallways, dining areas, residents' rooms, etc. using a variety of cleaning material and equipment. Maintain and operate equipment in a clean and safe manner. Assist with set-up of rooms for meetings and/or activities as required.
Perform other maintenance/cleaning tasks as instructed by the EVS Supervisor.


RequirementsThe ideal Floor Technician Candidate:
Must understand basic concepts, practices and procedures of building cleaning/maintenance.

Must have at least one year's of experience in floor cleaning and maintenance in an institutional setting, preferably in a healthcare environment.
