    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the daily functioning of the health care needs of Residents as well as supervision of the nursing department. The desired candidate will have vast knowledge on both state and federal rules and regulations and will work well with a team of dedicated staff members to provide excellent patient care in our facility. We are seeking an LPN with assisted living experience.

    Minimum eligibility requirements:
    • At least two or moreyears prior experience in Long Term Care setting
    • Supervisory experiencedesirable
    • Possess strong leadershipqualities
    • Must be honest, fair,dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others
    • Must be able tocommunicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the generalpublic
    • Must meet all healthrequirements
    • Must pass criminalbackground check
    • Must be able toperform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or withoutreasonable accommodation
    • Must have compassionfor and desire to work with the elderly while recognizing that the community isthe residents' home
    • Have strongorganizational and team building skills
    • Have excellent writtenand verbal communications skills
    • Have ability to work aflexible schedule
    • Be available to takecall according to the rotating call schedule
    Essential Functions:
    • Oversee medical and health service activities and personnel
    • Plan and coordinate health services
    • Work collaboratively with physicians to implement appropriate healthcare programs
    • Maintain a clean environment to ensure patient safety
    • Establish, train and enforce healthcare policies and procedure
    • Assure fiscal accountability within nursing department
    • Foster team unity and a cohesive approach
    Customerservice:
    • Responsible for ensuring that all team members are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers
    • Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner
    • Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority
    • Meet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful manner (Visitors include anyone who visits the community; specifically, current residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors and regulators)
    Residents' Rights:
    • Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rights
    Other:
    • Communicates and adheres to company policies and procedures
    • The job description provides a framework for the job; other duties may be assigned as necessary
    Working conditions:
    • Scheduled hours; available evening and weekends for events
    • Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
    • Is subject to injury from falls, burns from equipment, odors, etc., through the workday, as well as to reactions from dust, disinfectants, and other air contaminants
    • May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals
    Physical/Sensory requirement:
    • Medium work: abilityto exert 10-35 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise moveobjects
    • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents and staff
