Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Furniture Assembly Independent Contractors to complete residential front-end assembly projects throughout the Washington DC metro area.
This role is strictly assembly-focused. We manage all scheduling, customer communication, and billing. Contractors receive job details in advance and select the projects they wish to complete.
This opportunity is ideal for skilled assemblers who want steady, project-based work without marketing, bidding, or customer acquisition responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Assemble residential furniture including:
Beds and bedroom sets
Dressers and wardrobes
Desks and office furniture
Dining tables and chairs
Shelving units and storage systems
Follow manufacturer instructions precisely
Verify all hardware and parts prior to installation
Ensure structural stability and proper alignment
Maintain a clean, professional workspace in customer homes
Upload clear completion photos
Communicate professionally regarding job status

This position is ideal for experienced furniture assembly professionals seeking flexible, project-based work. Contractors should be comfortable working independently in residential environments and completing assembly projects efficiently and accurately. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong proficiency with hand and power tools, the ability to follow manufacturer instructions, and the professionalism required to represent a service-based company in customers' homes.
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
