    Description

    We are seeking a Maintainability Engineer on behalf of our client. As a Maintainability Engineer, you will be responsible for executing moderately well-defined engineering assignments under general supervision. Your primary focus will be to ensure technical work adheres to defined processes and standards, while analyzing design and support system concepts to ascertain their viability within the customer's logistic structure. You will collaborate closely with the design team to develop optimal designs meeting customer requirements and perform maintainability analysis and modeling.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in developing plans for managing maintainability projects, defining engineering products, and processes.
    • Identify and define Line Replaceable Units/Modules or Shop Replaceable Units for analysis.
    • Perform Level of Repair Analysis to determine cost-effective maintenance alternatives.
    • Review design concepts and preliminary designs for supportability impacts.
    • Recommend changes to designs to improve supportability and life cycle cost.
    • Assist in planning, executing, and reporting on Maintainability Demonstrations.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation and deliver technical presentations.
    • Perform technical analysis, testing, calculations, and evaluation of results.
    • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Ensure compliance with safety objectives, policies, and rules.

    Skills Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of relevant experience; or relevant technical experience combined with military experience.
    • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
    • Project management experience is a plus.
    • Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust clearance.

    Education Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.
