- Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead a team to undertake the design of water, wastewater, and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure (e.g., pipelines, pump stations, lift stations).
- Develop and prepare technical memorandums / reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and construction submittal reviews calculations, models and other technical deliverables for civil/utility, conveyance, treatment, and infrastructure related projects.
- Complete hydraulic models and service area studies or master plans.
- Consult with clients and subconsultants.
- Ensure that the project's/client's needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide construction contract administration and site inspection services.
- Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings.
- Assist with business development pursuits, including preparation of proposals and interviews.
- A well-developed understanding of design concepts relevant to water infrastructure design that incorporate civil/mechanical design elements associated with process piping systems, linear infrastructure, yard piping, pumping stations, and conveyance systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
- Strong project management and/or design management skills.
- Strong commitment to the engineering profession and willingness to promote our profession through community outreach and service.
- Desire to learn and grow in your career.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 8 to 15 years of consulting experience, primarily in municipal infrastructure, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in project management of civil/municipal infrastructure projects (conveyance of water, storm, and wastewater).
- California Professional Engineer Registration.
