    Description


    The Data Analyst provides analytic support to functional business and clinical areas in order to formulate actionable insights and strategies against department/organizational goals and business/clinical outcomes.

    The Analyst will gather and interpret data from a variety of sources, and synthesize the data to guide decision-making, cost containment, quality improvement strategies that ultimately affect the patient journey at North Canyon Medical Center.

    The Data Analyst is responsible for automating internal and external reports, creating executive-level dashboards, and presenting information to assist all levels of the organization to understand the operational and clinical impacts of the data.

    The analyst will design and produce high-quality analytic products for the appropriate audience, understand how to visualize the data in a way that communicates existing trends and patterns and trends which guides information discovery.

    Requirements

    Associate Degree in related field or two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Current clinical experience, preferred.
    Knowledge of clinical documentation cycle and interrelationships between clinical departments.
    Communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
    Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title.
    Ability to manage a fast-paced, chaotic work environment.
    Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency, financial responsibility, safety, partnership and service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, trust and respect.)
    Ability to write, read, analyze, and interpret systems reports and procedure manuals.

    Ability to effectively present information both electronically and in person and respond to questions from groups at all levels of the organization.

    Ability to solve practical problems as presented by users in relation to applicable systems and applications.
    Ability to handle detail, multiple tasks, and short notice deadlines, with daily reprioritization of work.
    Ability to work independently
