    Change and Configuration Management Lead

    Onsite-Pentagon, Washington, DC

    Must be US Citizen per client

    Responsibilities:

    We areseeking a
    Change and Configuration Management Lead to support our client5s new Technical Architecture and Governance program supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) out of the National Capital Region.

    This individual is responsible for overseeing the configuration items (CIs) and changes to them for all services offered by the DISA teams.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the oversight of all Configuration Changes occurring with the DISA/J6 environment. This includes CIs for physical hardware infrastructure (network switches and routers, storage infrastructure, servers, Operation Systems, firewalls, etc.)
    • Reviews all documentation for CI changes within the DISA/J6 environment. Provides approval recommendations to DISA government leads on approvals.
    • Ensures all CI changes are executed in alignment with supporting documentation.
    • Reports and escalates unauthorized CI changes to government leads.
    • Prepares Enterprise Configuration Management Board (ECRB) and Change Advisory Board (CAB) agendas, meeting artifacts, and minutes.
    • Creates and maintains change and configuration management plans and SOPs.
    • Supports development of change categorizations and works to ensure proper approvals are received depending on the change type.
    • Facilitates a weekly CAB and ECRB to review and seek approvals for upcoming CI change requests.
    • Supports process improvement efforts for Enterprise Change and Configuration Management efforts.
    • Provides recommendations to government leads and service providers on enhancements to CI change process.
    • Creates and updates configuration management templates.
    • Assists with selection and utilization of configuration management tools.
    • Creates SOPs for utilizing and updating the Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).
    • Creates CI mappings and relationships within ServiceNow and other CI tools to be selected by DISA leadership.

    Qualifications:

    Education and Years of Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a science/technical or related field (highly desirable).
    • 3 or more years of change and configuration management experience, preferably within a government agency.

    Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:


    • ITIL Foundation Certification (required)
    • Experience utilizing ServiceNow for creating and modifying tickets, as well as creating and running reports.
    • Proficency with Microsoft office products, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
    • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
    • DoD experience is preferred.
