    The Human Resource Director, under the general supervision of the President, holds primary responsibility in the following functional areas: recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits management, performance management, policy administration, employee relations, and employment law compliance. The HR Director oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm's HR department with a current staff of three: a Human Resources Generalist, a Talent Acquisition Manager, and a Recruiting and Engagement Coordinator.

    Duties:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily. The functional areas and duties illustrated herein are not all inclusive of the job requirements but are representative of the types of knowledge, skill, and ability necessary.

    • Provides recommendations regarding HR trends and policy issues to the President; assists President with firm-wide employee initiatives, employee engagement and communications, through corporate culture building and social events.
    • Provides training to supervisors on the administration of HR policies and procedures.
    • Manages and resolves grievances and conflict through the firm's progressive discipline system and compiles required documentation, conducts necessary investigations, meets with the subject employee(s) and/or manager, when necessary, facilitates and conducts disciplinary action proceedings and terminations.
    • Analyzes, researches, directs, and manages all aspects of employee benefits program, including, but not limited to, open enrollment, election changes, health insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, basic and voluntary life insurances, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans, and the firm's 401K fiduciary meetings.
    • Analyzes wage and salary data; classifies employees; administers compensation program.
    • Develops, updates, and administers performance review programs for all employees.
    • Oversees the firm's personnel recruitment and selection process.
    • Develops, analyzes, and reports HR related information to the President.
    • Serves on and leads internal committees as requested by the President.
    • Maintains effective working relationships with vendors, consultants, attorneys, outside benefit coordinators and brokers.
    • Performs other tasks as required.
    Qualifications
    • Requires a bachelor's degree in human resources or related field with progressive experience in human resources with 3 to 5 years of experience as a Director of Human Resources or similar level of human resource responsibility.
    • Must be highly organized and possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Experience within a professional services firm is preferred.
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite is required. Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, ADP Payroll, and time tracking software systems is preferred.
    • Must possess Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation.
    • A valid North Carolina driver's license is required.
    • Commissioned notary public preferred.
    • A non-disclosure agreement with the firm is required.
