    Overview
    TEC Systems Group is currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team.

    You will work alongside professional data scientists, analysts, engineers, and developers to build and update reports and visualizations, update underlying data, and maintain data engineering pipelines.

    Essential Functions
    Perform process to ensure understanding of business objectives from client(s)
    Design data analysis plans to achieve client goals and project success
    Collect, process, and cleanse data from multiple sources using various methods (e.g., SQL queries, Excel VBA, PowerQuery, Python/R, DAX)
    Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and relationships in data
    Utilize programming languages (DAX, SQL, Python, R) and analytical tools (Power BI, Excel, Tableau, etc.) to manipulate, visualize, and communicate data for non-technical consumers
    Design and implement reporting solutions that track key performance indicators
    Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and completeness
    Develop and maintain documentation of data sources, processing steps, and analytical methods
    Stay up-to-date on new analytical methods and tools
    Assist senior analysts with more complex projects
    Ad-hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders
    Help develop and maintain data governance policies
    Support the development and implementation of data management practices
    Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (eg., GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA, NIST).

    AVEVA PI Experience
    Power BI
    SQL Data Warehouse
    Azure Data Factory
    Report writing
    Knowledge of a Programming language(s) (Python, R, C#, C++, etc.)
    API Integration
    Cloud Architecture or Cloud DevOps
    Containerized Deployment; Docker, VMWare, etc.
    Database Modeling & Database Systems – Kimball, Inmon, and/or Data Vault methodologies
    Business Analytics (Key Measures in Accounting, Finance, Operations, and/or Sales)
    Data Visualization Methodologies and Best Practices
    Advanced Excel knowledge in external database connectivity, pivot tables, and PowerQuery
    Desired Soft Skills
    Able to think critically and solve problems

    Perform research and apply the information to solutions

    Good written and verbal communication skills
    Education
    Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or related field
    OR
    2-3 years' experience in a Data Analyst role
