In 2003, our manufacturing facility was established in the South Industrial Park of Terre Haute, Indiana. In addition, we have an office on northeast side of Indianapolis where the Procurement and Supplier Development Department, Business Development and Product Engineering are now located. We have a third location in Troy, Michigan which houses our Sales Engineering, Logistics Distribution Center for USA, and Customer Resident Engineering.

    Position belongs to the regional Claim and Analysis Center as part of thyssenkrupp Steering unit division. The group is created to fulfill the Customer requirements and support problem resolution for warranty returns in the region.

    The engineering office and laboratory is located in Fishers, Indiana. The scope of the position is to coordinate analysis related activities including technical root cause investigations. The ideal candidate has excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills and able to lead international cross-functional teams in a timely manner.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Lead 8D problem resolution process of warranty returns
    • Coordinate and allocate tasks within cross-functional team, follow-up regularly
    • Reporting of analysis time and trends to the leadership
    • Coordinate the engineer and technician team work
    • Lead and coordinate the interface to the production plant and/or development, ensure next steps are defined and being followed
    • Communicate and report investigation status to the Customer involving the engineering team when it is needed
    • Preparation and coordination of root cause analysis for field returns
    • Make suggestions for interim and permanent corrective actions based on investigation result
    • Analysis, documentation, and optimization of processes related to Customer complaints (lessons learned)
    • Document activities in SAP
    • Execution of process audits and assessments
    • Other tasks stipulated in the individual goal setting agreement in line with the quality strategy of the company
    Candidates preferably meet with the following criteria:
    • Capable of leading international and local technical team
    • Demonstrates good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Great project management skills and ability to handle multiple issues in the same time
    • Advanced knowledge of automotive quality core tools and methods
    • Basic understanding of hardware and software development processes is an advantage
    • Strong Customer focus during daily work is a must
    • Self-supporting, analytical minded, systematical and structured work needed to fulfill requirements

    • Knowing of IATF 16949 standard, ISO26262 is a plus
    Education and/or Experience:

    BS Degree in Engineering and/or Technical Management. Advanced Engineering or Management Degree is a plus. Experience in manufacturing process, mass production, quality assurance, research and development is an advantage.

    Computer and Technology Skills:

    Use of Microsoft Office Suites software in a windows operating system. Use of Outlook, SAP Integrated Business software is a plus. Usage level knowledge of PPAP, CP, (D)FMEA, 8D is expected.
