Maysville Community and Technical College is currently seeking a full-time, twelve-month term contract, Student Support Specialist- Dual Credit. Primarily located on the Maysville or Rowan Campus.
This position provides communication and support to Dual Credit students through in-person, phone, and email; new and continuing Dual Credit student scheduling; responding to student questions and/or requests; implementing strategies to promote student success this position will specifically serve Dual Credit students related to General Education and Technical courses.
Job Duties:
• Maintain direct contact through school visits, direct mail, phone calls, and text message with students to ensure a smooth transition to matriculation.
• Advise and enroll Dual Credit students and assist in pathways for academic success and matriculation at registration visits and throughout academic year.
• Aids with outreach to high school's representatives; Guidance Counselors, GearUp representatives, and Principals.
• Assist in coordinating school registration visits and events with high schools and college employees.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials to promote the Dual Credit program to students, school partners, and families.
• Assist in orientation, workshops, and informational sessions.
• Assist in student billing accounts, KHEAA scholarships, and processing student requests.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years related experience, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships within our service region.
• Strong organizational skills, familiarity with academic curriculum, ability to analyze data and generate reports
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to ensuring the quality and integrity of the Dual Credit program.
