Job Summary:
The IT Asset Management Lead will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the company's IT hardware and software assets.
They will lead a team dedicated to optimizing the lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the asset management team to ensure all IT assets are correctly identified, tagged, and accounted for across all locations.
Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee the recording of new assets, changes to existing assets, and asset disposals in the asset management database.
Coordinate with various departments to support operations projects and meet deadlines.
Manage and organize asset distribution for new hires and asset reallocation for existing staff.
Analyze asset data to identify trends, forecast needs, and prepare asset-related reports for management.
Maintain the IT service catalog items, ensuring all offerings are current, accurately described, and aligned with business needs.
Manage vendor contracts, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in asset management or a related field.
Strong understanding of IT hardware devices and peripherals.
Proficiency in at least one asset management tool and the ability to learn new software quickly.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset management, preferably in an IT environment.
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
Certifications:
Certification in Asset Management (e.g., CAMA, CPAM) is a plus.
