    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Manage the Plant Quality System to achieve continuous improvement in product quality and resolve internal and external quality issues.

    Provide technical leadership to the Quality Control function to ensure sufficiency of testing and acceptability of raw materials, in-process inventory, and the finished product.

    Provide leadership for handling of customer complaint and returns including coordination of communication with customers on quality related matters.


    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide quality leadership for the Plant by working in conjunction with a cross-functional group of employees to accomplish specific objectives which lead to quality improvements.

    Manage the Plant customer complaint/return/investigation process to respond, resolve and credit customers for non-conforming product in timely manner.

    Serve as the primary customer contact on issues of Plant quality and quality improvement, including conference calls, site visits, audits, and major quality events.

    Supervises and oversees the duties and hours of the quality team and lab techniciansProvide technical direction for the shift QC function to ensure data Manage the Plant Core QC function to provide calibration and maintenance of test equipment, data analyses, and raw material/in-process verification activitiesSuperintend the Plant ISO program to maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015 Standards.

    Manage in-process inventory to ensure that non-conforming material is utilized in less critical applications while obtaining the best possible price.

    Prepare and present periodic reports on plant quality performance.

    Performs other assigned duties as required EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required5 years lab or technical experience required2 years technical supervisory experience desiredBroad knowledge of film properties, product applications, test equipment, and statistical techniquesExtensive knowledge of the ISO systemLeadership ability: Ability to set and achieve high standards for self and othersAutonomous: Can operate independently, is motivated, and takes initiativeExcellent communication skills Organizational/Administrative skillsAnalytical/Problem-solving skillsKnowledge in the use of a computer and software applications
