    As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with site staff and visitors, document activity, and respond to situations with professionalism and care.     Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

    What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
    • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse and distribution areas, trailer yards, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
    • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, processing visitors and contractors, and directing deliveries and pickups according to site procedures.
    • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site leadership.
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document observations in written reports, and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
    • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
    • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
