    Business Operations Analyst III

    Reports to: Senior Manager, Data Analytics

    Department: Finance and Accounting

    As part of the Data Analytics team, our goal is to build a strong data culture using the strategy of the data cycle and MDM (Master Data Management). Success will derive from developing new BI solutions and automating standardized enterprise reporting analysis for clear, action-oriented, evolving insights that inform Suvoda's strategy.

    A Business Operations, Data Analyst will need to demonstrate analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and solutioning for business questions within the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    Business Partnership:

    • This role will be the business partner for leadership to provide insights for data-driven decision-making for a growing software company.
    • Act as the primary data analyst for assigned organizations to understand their needs and provide valuable insight.
    • Collaborate with departmental leadership to gather and analyze data requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
    • Lead recurring meetings with teams to enable the data cycle and provide consistent updates.
    • Utilize Asana (Project Management Tool) to track and provide updates on tasks.

    Data Collection and Analysis:

    • Collect, clean, and analyze large sets of data from multiple sources including HRIS, CRM, PSA (Professional Services Automation), and ERP.
    • Build data models to support departmental headcount planning:
    • Monitor and forecast headcount based on employee-level data.
    • Align and forecast headcount needs based on corporate plans and historical efficiency metrics.
    • Regularly update models to adjust for current trends in bookings, efficiency, etc.
    • Utilize SQL, Power Query, and similar methods to structure and automate datasets.
    • Build and maintain centralized Datasets & Dataflows (Power BI) for departmental reporting, including custom measures, summary tables, etc.

    Reporting & Data Visualization:

    • Evaluate existing reports and dashboards, identifying areas for improvement in terms of design, efficiency, and relevance.
    • Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand data visualizations with Power BI and Excel that effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data visualizations by validating and verifying data sources.

    Continuous Growth and Development:

    • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data analysis and reporting.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance data processes, reporting methodologies, and analytical techniques.
    • Perform other tasks/responsibilities as requested by the Senior Manager, Data Analytics.

    Requirements for Data Analyst:

    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • Highly proficient in Excel, with a focus on data manipulation and analysis
    • Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and creative problem-solving.
    • Prior experience working on cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities
    • Preferred: Experience with Salesforce, Kantata/Mavenlink, Netsuite, and/or Workday

    Experience

    • 4+ years experience as a business analyst, data analyst, strategy analyst, process analyst or similar role preferred.
    • 4+ years' experience using a business analytics service or tool: Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, or equivalent.
    • 2+ years' experience in one or more of the following: SQL (preferred), DAX, Python, or equivalent.
